Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (“Voucher”)

The Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB) includes a non-transferable voucher for educational re-training or skill enhancement through a state-approved or accredited school. This is an option for workers who need to make a career change due to their injury. After receiving the voucher, you may be eligible for the California Return to Work Supplement program and payment. The voucher may or may not be part of your settlement as it subject to certain conditions to trigger the entitlement to the voucher.
